Research Description; Public Procurement: Design and Impact (MUR – PRIN – CUP: E84I20000340006)

Public procurement refers to the process by which public authorities, such as government departments or local authorities, purchase works, goods or services from companies. The project studies how to improve the efficiency of public procurement, by incentivizing innovation, enhancing competition among potential suppliers, fighting corruption and discouraging collusion among bidders.

Your Role

The Research Associate will be asked to produce research outputs by contributing to the activities of the research group.

Your profile

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in economics, with a focus on Microeconomics/ Industrial Organization. He/she is either a theoretical microeconomist who can work on theoretical models, or an applied microeconomist who can analyze procurement data.

Knowledge of Stata, Phyton, Mathlab or Matematica will be valued positively.

Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.
